Through the course of the semester, we learned how to go from smaller assignments which were solely based on individual knowledge to larger assignments that required information from outside sources. I learned how to take information that I learned from articles and incorporate it into my writing by either summarizing or just using evidence from these articles to support claims. When writing these papers, I learned how to use online data bases like the CCNY data base and other library sources to find articles that I could write my papers on or just find articles that I could incorporate into a written assignment. I learned how to introduce pieces of information found in them and used them to support my stance in any paper. For example, in my scientific controversy paper, I spoke about COVID vaccines and I strongly indicated that I am pro vaccines and one of the reasons was because they can help us reach herd immunity. I found an article on herd immunity and covid and used that to support my stance and help explain to my audience why vaccines are important.
